Healthcare has come a long way from its beginnings in ancient civilizations. Advanced medical knowledge, technology, and cultural awareness have made the system more suitable for people of all backgrounds. Despite these advancements, we still have a long way to got. Healthcare inequity is still a huge public health problem, and the cause of these problems as well as the solution can be determined by examining the experiences of those who have been discriminated in medicine through an anthropological view. We can't understand medicine without understanding humans, and this journal aims to combine a knowledge of both to advocate for reforms that will make healthcare equitable and beneficial for all.
